Fun workshops in the great Cass Art Studio space for anyone who would like to get started with urban sketching, or lacks the confidence to start sketching, drawing and using watercolour at home.
Ink and Watercolour Sketching for Beginners
11.00am – 1.00pm
If you are new to sketching or lack confidence in your ability to draw, this short fun workshop is for you!
Learn how to capture the essence of a scene in a short space of time, and with minimal materials.
You will need a sketchbook (A5 or A4) with paper suitable for watercolour (160gsm+), a pencil (HB or 2B), eraser, fineliner pen with waterproof ink and a basic travel watercolour set with brush or waterbrush.
Going Green! Sketching Parks and Gardens
2.00pm – 4.00pm
In this workshop you’ll explore use of colour in sketching so take a deep breath and make some big brave bold brushstrokes! We’ll have a great time mixing colour and exploring ways to make your sketches more vibrant.
You will need a sketchbook (A5 or A4) with paper suitable for watercolour (160gsm+), a pencil (HB or 2B), eraser and a basic travel watercolour set with round brush size 8 or similar.
Places are limited so do book well in advance. You can book your ticket online or by emailing me direct. This is a workshop suitable for adults or accompanied children aged 12+

Individual workshops £40 per person or to take your sketching further join both for £60!
