I’ve been benefiting from Annette’s online watercolour sketching tutorials. They are enormous fun and structured to include a variety of topics and techniques for the absolute beginner. This is something I’ve wanted to try for years and Annette’s clever teaching has given me the confidence and the skills to have a go. Highly recommended.

Having recently completed the Watercolour Sketching for beginners course I can highly recommend both the course and the excellent teacher, Annette. Being a complete novice I was amazed and thrilled by the many skills I learnt and the wonderful paintings I was able to produce. Annette is a friendly and enthusiastic person and a brilliant teacher.

I’ve already done some of you Etchr Studio classes and learning so much from you. Your use of the color pencils during the first wash is absolute magic!

This was a great workshop by one of my favourite watercolour artists. The pace was fast (although I do appreciate the time restraints) and I was able to follow along for most of it and then complete any finishing touches afterwards. The PDF was a welcome addition as a step by step guide too.

Annette is a wonderful artist and teacher! I am a beginner watercolorist, although I do have some experience with the medium. Annette explains and demonstrates things very well. Added to a lovely, upbeat personality, her demos and workshops are great! What I have enjoyed the most is her selection of locations in France as references. I love traveling around the Mediterranean, particularly Italy, and want to learn to capture my travels (in person and my photos) in a watercolor sketchbook. I will be doing her master class in this series next!

Annette’s guided tutorials are easy to follow. Her calming, instructive voice leads you through each step clearly and result in a sketch of your very own making. Enjoy

I live in southern France and I’m fortunate to have been able to participate in several of Annette’s workshops, from a half-day to several days. I enjoy her style of teaching, not prescriptive and encouraging to all levels. In the course of the last five years I have learned a huge amount about sketching and watercolours from her and I believe I’ve improved hugely. Even though I live here I’ve learned much about the area through Annette’s local knowledge. If you’re visiting the area it’s a great way to get to know it and make some holiday memories. Next month I’m joining her workshops at Collioure further south on the coast. I’m looking forward to it very much.
